We are excited to announce that Nan will perform as

Edith Roosevelt on November 22, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the

Catherine A. Hickman Theater, 5501  27th Ave. South, Gulfport.

About the show:

EDITH KERMIT CAROW ROOSEVELT  (1861-1948) was the second wife of President Theodore Roosevelt and served as the First Lady of the United States during his presidency from 1901 to 1909. As First Lady, she assumed her duties with dignity and character.

This presentation reveals Edith as she recalls the challenges, great successes, and deep sadness of her life as wife, mother, First Lady, and private person.

Local connection: Edith visited the Tampa Bay Hotel
- now the Henry Plant Museum - in 1898. Her husband, then Lieutenant Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, was in town with his famous Rough Riders waiting for word to leave for Cuba and fight in the Spanish-American War.
