Florida International Museum at St. Petersburg College
Offers New Program for
CUT! Costume and the Cinema
Interactive Performing Artist and Tea Highlights Exhibition Schedule
St. Petersburg, FL (March 12, 2010) Florida International Museum at St. Petersburg College is pleased to present an exciting new program to complement the world premiere of a major exhibition, CUT! Costume and the Cinema. The museum will offer Tea and All Dressed Up - a live, fun-filled portrayal and characterization of a fictitious assistant to the designer and costumer.
“A performance by Nan Colton, acclaimed storyteller, creates a character known as Sue Anne Puckett who will bring costuming alive for our patrons,” said Kathy Oathout, Director of Operations, The Palladium, Florida International Museum & SPC Downtown Arts. “She is a wonderfully entertaining performer who uses her considerable talents to tell humorous stories about working with the temperament of creative personalities, interwoven with facts about the films that are represented in the exhibit.” Hooker Tea Company is providing tea and desserts before the performance in the SPC Downtown Community Room.
Tea and All Dressed Up will be featured at Florida International Museum at St. Petersburg College on Sunday, March 21th at 2:00 pm; Two showings each day on Saturday, April 10 and May l - at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm; and Saturday, May 15 at 2:00 pm only.
All tickets are $15 and will include admission to CUT! Costume and the Cinema. Reservations are required; call 727-341-7918.
CUT! Costume and the Cinema features forty-three period costumes from highly respected motion pictures depicting the art of making costumes for film. The exhibition reveals how film costumes set the scene and establish authenticity in a period film.

Due to popular demand additional dates have been added for the upcoming theatre in the gardens of the Edison & Ford Winter Estates by acclaimed actress Nan Colton.
Colton is well known as a storyteller, writer, playwright, and professional actress. She will bring to life the remarkable and charitable Mina Edison with unforgettable tales of “living with a genius”.
Brunch will be served in the beautiful Estates gardens and garden hats are encouraged. Reservations required, seating is limited. Estates Members $50; non-members $60.Group rates are available.
The Estates is open daily from 9:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m. The Estates was awarded the National Trust for Historic Preservation Award in 2008 and is an official project of “Save America’s Treasures” at the National Trust for Historic Preservation, a Florida Historic Landmark and a National Register Historic Site.
