This is a script filled with humorous short stories about the roaring '20’s. The end of World War I brought a new reality to America. Suddenly social, political, morals, artistic issues and new ideas spread rapidly through telephone and telegraphs. Radios blared daily weather and product commercials while electricity poles made bold lines across the wide-open spaces. No one foresaw or proclaimed the great depression to come. These were the days of great anticipation and enthusiasm. “Missy,” a fictiotious character, tells all about her world of famous people, remarkable happenings and startling inventions. As one of that first generation of professional women, her “beat” as a journalist covers all the social activities, travels and gatherings of the “Who’s Who” of her day. She can't resist interviewing her audience and wants to know their “best and worst” travel experiences. “I always try to get my questions answered, because if I engage you with an experience you can identify, then perhaps you can have a deeper, personal appreciation of my world,” she explains. Missy explores her world with the newly found self-confidence of the voting, single woman. |
