"Digging Up the Past"

In the guise of a fictitious archeologist "Agatha Diggit" - new skills and techniques will be “dug up.”  What is old will be made new, and stories from the past will become relevant to today’s listener.

The stories shared have three instructional purposes (and may serve more than one purpose) 

1) To demonstrate how to spark students' interest in the arts

2) Use of imagination and the arts to highlight curriculum subject area

3) Raise teachers' awareness and enhance their knowledge and skills encourage 

Stories told include: Aesops - Fables, Classical Greek and Roman myths; Historical facts, original anecdotes and multiple quotes.

This series of interactive short stories is complimented with practical examples and exercise that educators can adapt into their classroom activities and lesson plans.  The session is designed for the specific purpose of explaining and exploring the benefits of the fine arts and the value of story telling teaching tools.

Fulfill Sunshine State standards: Writing, Language -English, tolerance, History, Multi-cultural, Public Speaking, Reading, social studies, self esteem,  character development.
